Kevin Mitnick FBI’s Most Wanted Hacker and Ahmed Attalla on the Dark Stage at

Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference GISEC 2019

GISEC, the region’s largest cybersecurity forum is a yearly event organized by Dubai Police and Dubai electronic security center, where the world’s best hackers demonstrate live hacking attacks in front of the audience. This year, on the GISEC Dark Stage Kevin Mitnick; the world’s most famous hacker, Jamie Woodruff; Europe’s number 1 ethical hacker, and Ahmed Attalla, one of the youngest hackers in the UAE and the youngest speaker in GISEC.  

Speaking on the sidelines of the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference GISEC 2019 Mitnick warned businesses in the region: “People are the weakest link. They can be manipulated or influenced into unknowingly helping hackers break into their organization’s computers. In an engaging and demonstration-rich experience, on GISEC’s Dark Stage Kevin Mitnick illustrated how a hacker’s thought process works and how they ply their tradecraft. Then Ahmed Attalla a 17 years old Egyptian ethical hacker, winner of the UAE Cyber Quest competition demonstrated a live hacking technique (man-in-the-middle-attack) in front of three hundred cyber-security experts.

 Ahmed is one of the youngest ethical hackers in the UAE, utilizes gamification techniques to build a successful training and practice environment for Info-Sec enthusiasts. He uses gamification techniques to build a successful training and practice environment for Info-Sec enthusiasts. In addition, he has taken a part in organizing and managing a number of Capture the Flag Competitions and workshops targeting various types of audience.
